Board of Directors

Chairman - Jason Garner
I work for HighMount Exploration & Production LLC as their Chief Operating Officer. My wife Heidi and I have four children that all attend OCA. We are members at the Memorial Road Church of Christ. The greatest things OCA has to offer are access and opportunity. OCA provides access to an affordable, great education that incorporates a Christian worldview. OCA provides access to faculty and staff in a high teacher-student ratio environment. And OCA provides opportunity to participate in academic and extra-curricular activities that are sometimes difficult elsewhere.

Vice Chairman - Chris McKeever
I am currently employed by Sonic Restaurants Inc, where I am the Director of Field Marketing and my favorite menu item is a SuperSonic Cheeseburger with Tots. We attend and serve at Memorial Road Church of Christ where I am a Deacon and Tammy is involved in the Women’s ministry. The McKeever family has been at OCA since the Fall of 2004, when our daughter Monique started Pre-K. OCA has been an incredible experience for our daughter to not only learn the typical school subjects but also be able to openly study about Jesus Christ and celebrate His Life. The best thing is the size of OCA -- large enough to have activities but small enough to develop real relationships.

Secretary - Jeff Martin
I am the owner and President of Masterpiece Painting Co. and Masterpiece CNG Systems, and have been in business since 1990. My wife Marlyce and I have been members at the Edmond Church of Christ since 2007. We are both graduates of Oklahoma Christian University in Oklahoma City. We have two daughters who attend OCA. Addison Martin, who is in 9th grade and Audrey Martin, who is in 6th grade. They both started school at OCA. We love OCA because we believe their goal is to reinforce the values and beliefs that we teach our girls at home, while providing a quality education that equips them to view an increasingly secular world through spiritual eyes.

Member - Dean Findley
I’m a Major with the Oklahoma City Fire Department; currently assigned to the city’s Office of Emergency Management. Our family attends Memorial Road Church of Christ. Both of my daughters attended OCA from Pre-K through High School. The small “hometown” environment at OCA allowed each of my children to excel in their own unique ways. The academic component of their experience at OCA equipped them with the tools necessary to succeed in both college and life. However, the most important part of their journey through OCA is manifest in their spiritual maturity. Few opportunities remain for our children to receive both academic and spiritual instruction under the same roof. Oklahoma Christian Academy stands ready to provide this same opportunity for future generations.

Member - Geoff Kinglsey (pictured above)
I serve as the Secondary Curriculum Director for Mustang Public Schools and also teach as an adjunct history professor at Oklahoma City Community College. My family and I relocated to Edmond from the Mustang-Yukon area when our oldest child began participating in extra-curricular activities at OCA. We have worshipped at the Edmond Church of Christ for the past four years. My wife, Rhonda, is a self-employed speech language pathologist. Our daughter, Maryn, is a sophomore and has been at OCA since she was in third grade. Caleb is a 7th grader and has attended since second grade. Our youngest, Asa, is a 6th grader and started in first grade. We have enjoyed our experience at OCA. Because of the small-school atmosphere, the kids have had opportunities to be involved in multiple sports and activities that they might not have been able to do had they been at a large school. I am not naive enough to think that my children are at OCA in a utopian "bubble", but I have had many years of experience in a public school setting, and believe that the expectation of a Christian ethic and the upholding of a Christian value system provides a much more wholesome environment in which to socialize children. I would definitely rate the "family" atmosphere at OCA as a top ranking benefit.
